If your jerking your pull chords so much that your arm is sore at night do yourself a favor and replace your carb like I did. Best $16.00 I’ve spent in a long while. Firing up on the 1st-2nd try every time now.

Good advice, carbs are great for refueling and will definitely help people jerk their pull chords,
if you know what I mean!

You made it so easy, yet I shall take the high road and leave the jokes aside. That being said, I hate weedeaters that don’t want to crank half the time more than I hate actually trimming. If I had enough extension cable I would just get an electric one and call it a day.

But how will you blip the throttle repeatedly pretending your a 2 stroke motorcycle while looking for new shit to wack? *my neighbors hate me*

Thanks, you just reminded me I need to replace my primer bulb on my trimmer. It’s cracked and leaking gas. While I’m at it, I’ll see about the cracked fuel line on my ancient Sears leaf blower I picked up at a rummage sale for $5 last year. Apparently, Home Depot sells replacement parts for just such problems.

A Yamaha 250 2 stroke pretty sure it was called a yz not sure of the year but think it was a 1998-2002ish was the craziest dirtbike I’ve ever driven. All others I’ve driven were 4 stroke. Other than that whipped around in a 2 stroke outboard boat so my experience is limited would love to try more.

Search your model number on the net find the parts listing then cross reference the part numbers on amazon. You’ll save a ton and get the exact part rather than something that kinda works. Tried the generic fuel lines on my weed eater Excalibur 26 inch hedge trimmer and they sucked. Ordered correct ones and worked like a charm.

I went with a rebuild kit. A little more wrenching screwdriving screwing (?) involved, but I think it was more satisfying than just bolting on a new carburetor. My Ryobi weedeater is 16 years old and still going strong (knocks on wood).

Reminds me of the two I got off Kijiji for nothing since “they didn’t run” when really its just the problem of being built and set up at sea-level but being used at 3400 feet. Quick carb tune and they are ready to rock! Nothing like a solid 2-stroke to annoy the neighbors and get you all oily!

My Dad collects them at garage sales, just brought me one the other day that the previous owner couldn’t start - a quick clean up and a bottle of fuel treatment later and she rips now..

We had a yamaha xt225 (4stroke) and a honda cr125r (I think at least. the racing 2stroke). The honda was insanely fast, made the yamaha feel like a dog (which it was/is)
